Marketing Gets Digital
Today is a day you will use to prepare for several future activities. You are going to create NEW social media accounts. If you already have an account, that is fine, you still need to create NEW ones. These accounts will be for your client (remember the logo on the front page of your website?). You want to post items for your client on a NEW account, not an existing account.
You may want to us the name of your client in the account name. You might have to use a variation since many students will be using the same clients. (a variation to Rocket Energy Drink could be Rocket is #1, The #1 Rocket Energy Drink, Drink Rocket Energy, etc.).
If you are not sure how to create the account, GOOGLE is your friend.
One the Social Media Marketing Tab, create a row of Social Media Icons/Images (for the platforms listed below) across the top of your page. Link each icon to the account you create. I understand some of them can not be created at school. We call that homework:)
Create accounts in:
Facebook
Twitter
Pinterest
Snapchat
Instagram
YouTube
(any others that you want!)
When you are done, create headers for each account using Canva.com. (here is a cheat sheet with dimensions if oty can't find a template) Place those headers, along with the name of the Social Media Platform (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) on the tab of your site called Assignment #7. DO NOT PUT THE HEADERS OR ANYTHING ELSE (in terms of an image) OIN THE ACTUAL SOCIAL MEDIA PAGE.

High School is hosting a Northern Region DECA Invitational on Thursday, October
10, 2019. The competition will begin at 3:30 p.m. We are planning on being
finished around 8:30 p.m. You must provide your own transportation for this
event. You may carpool with others who
are attending as well. There is a lot of “downtime” and since you can’t leave
the school, please bring homework to work on while waiting!The event will consist of one general marketing test (fill in the dots on general knowledge), and one role play event.
The cost will be $10.00 per student and includes a Chick-fil-A meal. davisDECA will pay half if you are a paid member! (davisDECA dues are $17 for the year, Includes local, state and national dues)
You need to turn in the bottom portion of this form to register, along with your receipt for $5 or $10.
Registration is due by Thursday, September 25th.
