You, Inc Entrepreneurship Update

Everything on the website is still accurate. One question that has come up is about the due date of the final project on 22 May 2020.  As you may know, we have been asked to stop assigning new material on 15 May 2020.  I had two options.  One, I could change the due date of the presentation to 15 May 2020.  Or, two, since the final project does not involve any new content, I could leave the due date on 22 May 2020.  That was my decision.  Of course, you can always turn assignments early.

There is a tutorial here on how to use Fishbole.  It will be helpful for your final project.

Keep working hard.  Also, for those struggling, remember that you have the option of going with a pass/fail grade.  And those who are taking college credit, be particularly careful to choose right.  If you have any concerns about your CE grade you should contact Ms. Hogge at 801-402-8832. She is an expert.

Leadership in the Movies Update

Everything is pretty much the same as on your website.  One difference--you will complete the class with the Movie #3 assignment.  By the direction of the school district, I will not assign any additional content or assignments after May 15, 2020.

The Final DBA Assignments for 2020!

Since some of you like to work ahead and others want to budget their time to work on other classes I am providing the LAST TWO assignments for 2020!

Due May 7, 2020

You need to complete assignment 5-5 by midnight on May 7, 2020.  This assignment includes developing a few "personal branding" materials by using Canva.com.  You can get detailed directions on the website.

Due May 14, 2020

Your last assignment of the year is due on May 14, 2020, at midnight.  This assignment is a bit longer and more detailed than most of your assignments.  For that reason, it will be worth 20 points instead of 10.  It is more valuable, but you have more time to complete it.  

You will be creating a project on one specific job title within the general area of business. . . . because, after all, this is a Digital BUSINESS Apps class!  You will also be using Fishbole again because it is the best way to have you create a presentation when we can't all be in class together.

The DBA CoronaBonus

I am recording the CoronaBonus (Extra credit) tonight.  Remember, no late work accepted for the CoronaBonus.  Thanks to those who completed it.

Digital Business Apps: Week of April 27-30

For your Digital Business Apps assignment this week, you are to complete Assignments 4-1 and 4-2.  These assignments have to do with editing an image.  There are countless image editing tools available online, and in both of these assignments, you can choose to use whatever tool you want!

These assignments must be posted on your site by midnight on Thursday, April 30th!

CoronaBonus
Here is the CoronaBonus I promised.  Completion of this assignment will serve as "extra-credit" and can really help out your grade if you "messed" up one of the other assignments this term.  This CoronaBonus will be due at Midnight on Friday, May 1st (yes, you are getting an extra day.)

Digital Business Apps Week of April 20-24

Digital Business Apps Class Read This!

For 4th term, I will post assignments every Monday.  The assignment(s) will be due by Midnight on Friday of that week.  I will focus on what the state requires first, so the order of assignments will likely change form what is on the website.

For this week, your assignment is #3-3.  You will be researching and creating a report on assistive technology.

I hope all is going well for you.  Make sure to spend a little time outside (by yourself!) and maybe even playing some of those old school board games with the family!

To make sure everyone has a fresh start for the new term I will grade and record both 3-2 and 3-2A on Friday, March 27th.  The next assignment will be posted on Friday, March 27th.

First of all, we are all going to get through this.  I can't guarantee what happens elsewhere, but I can promise you your class will carry on with a minimum amount of disruption!

While we are away from school, I would like you to watch one episode of Shark Tank a week (sort of like in the old days when we met in a building!).  Just use the same form as always and name it 1-LastName-ST-DATE.  Replace the word DATE with the actual date.
